The most heavy duty of coated abrasive discs, full resin bond on vulcanized (cotton fibers treated under intense pressure and heat) fiber backing. Designed for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending. Used with back up pads on portable angle grinders. Featuring a heavy fiber backing that provides strength and resists tears, this Blaze® F980 coarse grit fiber locking disc features self-lubrication that ensures a cool cut when working on 300 and 400 Series stainless steels, super alloys, titanium and other hard-to-grind materials. The 100% ceramic alumina grain contains micro-fractures that constantly expose sharp grinding edges, offering a fast cut rate and a longer lifespan than blended or low ratio ceramic alumina discs. A Speed Change® arbor mount allows fast disc changes without tools.
