Non-woven surface finishing flap wheels are an ideal choice for a wide variety of blending and finishing applications common in the metal fabrication, welding and polishing industries. Designed to deliver a consistent finish with a uniform rate of cut, flap wheels wear away continually exposing fresh abrasives. There are two types of non-woven flap wheels, non-woven only abrasive flaps where finishing is the primary application interleaf with alternating cloth and non-woven abrasive flaps (less conformable, more aggressive) for stock removal and finishing. Interleaf flap wheels must always be run in the direction indicated by the arrow. Use this tough yet conformable Bear-Tex® AO medium grit arbor non-woven interleaf flap wheel for medium grit blending and cleaning applications without changing the dimensions of the workpiece. A durable resin bond and web pair with a premium aluminum oxide grain for consistent results as the wheel continuously erodes to expose fresh abrasives. The alternating cloth and non-woven flap design makes the wheel less aggressive than all cloth wheels but more aggressive and less conforming than wheels with all non-woven flaps.
