The most heavy duty of coated abrasive discs, full resin bond on vulcanized (cotton fibers treated under intense pressure and heat) fiber backing. Designed for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending. Used with back up pads on portable angle grinders. As a great choice for use with a right angle grinder or a pistol grip air sander for blending, deburring, stock removal and beveling applications on challenging materials, including titanium and high alloy steels, this Red Heat® F981/F9815 coarse grit fiber disc boasts a tough ceramic alumina abrasive for fast, cool cutting action. The fiber backing helps minimize tearing while lending strength and the full resin bond improves durability. To ensure cool cuts, the disc features a self-lubricating grinding aid.
