CBS

Conveyor Belt Service, Inc. was established as a subsidiary of the W.P & R.S. Mars Company in 1953. Its core business is installing, splicing and repairing conveyor heavy duty black belting.  Other services include lagging pulleys. The organization caters to mining companies, the wood products industry, coal-fired power plants, sand/gravel operations, Great Lakes shipping facilities, and cargo carrying vessels. In the last 45 years, CBS has evolved into one of the premier conveyor belt servicing companies in the United States.  CBS has been a distributor of Goodyear/Continental conveyor belting and splice materials since 1953. CBS also has a large supply of used conveyor belting. Excellent safety practices, superior craftsmanship and troubleshooting offerings have made CBS more valuable to their customers than ever before. 

Walter R. Hammond Co.

Walter R. Hammond Co. was established in 1944 by Mr. Hammond and his wife, Charlotte. It quickly became known as the “go-to” store in the Twin Cities for cutting tools of all kinds and cut-to-order carpenter tool steel. Walter’s three sons ran the business for decades. In November 2013, Mars Supply purchased “Hammond,” as it is affectionately known, from the founder’s granddaughter. After all these years, Hammond still has an incomparable reputation for carrying a wide range of cutting tools, coolants, tool steel and abrasives --- and delivering them “same day” to its many machine shop customers in the greater metropolitan area.  As a division of Mars Supply, Hammond now has a variety of vending solutions, a full offering of PPE and many other shop supplies.

Machine Tool Supply

Machine Tool Supply was established in 1953 with the merger of Machine Tool Co. and Tool Supply Co.  The focus of its business has always been to provide and service all the products a job shop or manufacturing facility would need in its operation. In addition to offering the full breadth of cutting tool, MRO, safety and supply needs, Machine Tool Supply has serviced several niche markets including government, technical school programs, mold and die, saw centers and many others.It also continues to carry repair parts for the machinery market that was originally a core focus for the company.

Over the years, Machine Tool Supply has kept up with industry trends by providing vending and procurement solutions, an online store, and same-day shipping. In recent years, it has continued to add products and brands to support its metrology, maintenance and shop supplies, as well as, carrying the latest in cutting tool and workholding technology.  Machine Tool Supply is well known in the industry for being the premier Norton Abrasives distributor in the area and has a long history of maintaining a state-of-the-art Lenox bandsaw blade welding center.
